This concept/development study is structured around a calm documentary language: restrained camera movement, natural sound beds, and colour work that holds onto cloud detail and sea texture without becoming cold.
The page pairs the embedded film with still frames so the viewer experiences the project as a full visual narrative rather than a single video block. That keeps the film and video side of the portfolio aligned with the same editorial discipline used in photography.
The project is presented as a development study rather than a client commission. It shows how a documentary film page can carry an embedded film, selected stills, concise credits, and enough context for the viewer to understand the visual direction.

Approach
How the coverage was shaped.
Visual approach
The film was built around restraint rather than spectacle. Camera movement stayed measured, the pace stayed open to weather and labour, and the grade was shaped to retain sea texture, skin tone, and documentary clarity inside a muted cinematic palette.
Process
Development moved between interview language, landscape description, and tactile insert work. The final page structure mirrors that logic so the project can be read both as a finished film and as a wider visual case study.
